Some of the world’s most thriving, eclectic and inspiring cities can be found in Africa. The rapidly beating pulse of places like Johannesburg, Nairobi and Mombasa, along with the cross-pollination between local traditions and cosmopolitan ambitions inspired us a great deal while developing this S/S ’20 collection. The result is a range of garments that ooze timeless elegance, youthful energy and self-confidence, while staying very human. Classic Bellerose hues were mixed it with strong touches of red, green and orange, plus a wide range of sun-faded, gentler tones. Of course, it wouldn’t be us without some of our key components; a solid camouflage print, vintage sportswear details, hand-designed stripes and classic checks. All these factors contribute to a thrilling, vivid collection that builds on our cornerstones – classic styles, workwear, military wear, urban sophistication – while also making some bolder choices.
