Behind the Brand : Helena Rohner

It’s no wonder that Helena’s jewelry blends into the Bellerose universe so seamlessly, as we share a love for designs that are both timeless and contemporary, with great diversity in colors and textures. We recently got the chance to discover her world, including her stunning apartment, her neighborhood and her workshop. At the same time, it allowed us to ask her some of the questions that had been on our mind for while already.

Stand Up for International Women's Day

For this year’s International Women’s Day, we’re joining forces with 4 of our current favorite female illustrators. We approached them to create an exclusive illustration to reflect their take on what it’s like to be a woman. All revenue from the prints will be going to SEDT , a non-profit organization that provides access to education, coaching and workshops for dalit girls and women in rural Tamil Nadhu, India.

We're Going to The Olympics with Camille Laus

As Belgium is a rather small country, we tend to get very excited when some of our people make it to the Olympic Games. One of the young athletes that’ll be representing Belgium in 2020 is 400-metres runner Camille Laus, whom we’ll be following on her road to Tokyo. Cool, ambitious, passionate and Brussels-based, one could say she’s cut from the same cloth we are.

Find Us Everywhere - The Hambledon, Winchester UK

We’re teaming up with The Hambledon for a Bellerose pop-up store, running until February 29th. The perfect excuse to put the spotlight on one of our favourite retailers. To find out all about The Hambledon, their philosophy, the inspirations behind the store and the city of Winchester, we asked founder Victoria some questions. She answered them brilliantly.

Meet Lore Bruggeman, skateboarding prodigy.

Lore is a young Belgian skateboarder with as much talent as attitude. She combines going to school with travelling the world and while that might seem a bit much to most, it doesn’t phase her at all. Her passion for skateboarding is easy to notice when you’re talking to her but even easier to see when she rides. We got to spend an afternoon with her in and around Kortrijk, here’s what came out.

All in the Family - Julie.Eye.See

Landes is a region in the Southwest of France, known for its untamed nature, pine forests and beaches by the Atlantic Ocean. It’s there that Julie (@julie.eye.see) lives together with her husband Franck and their two boys, Lonis and Marlow. Seeing her juggle family life, a career, a successful blog and frequent travelling made us very curious to discover her story and luckily Julie had no issues answering our questions.

SPEAK – Joachim Lambrechts

When we walk into Joachim’s studio, the sound of the Beastie Boys and a mass of finished paintings are there to welcome us. Having just finished a large series of canvasses for his solo exhibition in Antwerp, Joachim is a satisfied man and he has every reason to be. For someone still in his early 30s, he has an incredible trajectory to look back on and most of all, a lot to look forward to. Mix raw talent with true passion and perseverance and the outcome may very well be the Antwerp based street artist and painter in front of us.

LRNCE x Bellerose – Behind the collab

During her fashion studies in Ghent, young Belgian creative Laurence Leenaert worked at the Bellerose flagship store there during the weekends and holidays. A lot has changed since: she launched LRNCE and moved to Marrakesh, where her brand flourished. Today we are so happy to present a collaboration that was meant to be, given our common search for authenticity, savoir faire and durability.

When we think of Liverpool these days, we also think of Anthony Lee. If you’re unfamiliar, he’s a young professional creative and content creator that moved up North after having studied in London. We asked him to select some of his favorite Bellerose pieces and wear them the way he’d otherwise wear them. Here’s what came out.

SPEAK - Hans Borg, photographer, skateboarder, truckdriver

Most people will consider themselves lucky to have found the one thing they’re really good at in life. Hans Borg was born with several talents, combining life as a young truckdriver with his passion for photography and art, while still staying a skateboarder through and through. He took the time to show us some of the places that matter most to him (with his loyal canine companion Louis in tow) and to tell us his story.

Mara Sartore & Matteo Bartoli: From Venice, with love.

Venice is obviously renowned for its canals and Piazza San Marco, but it’s also known as “the city of love” by tourists from all over the world. This time around we wanted to see the city from the inside, from a local family’s perspective. That’s why we decided to meet up with Mara and Matteo, a couple of entrepreneurs in the world of wine and art.
