Velour, Mon Amour

Can’t get enough of corduroy? Neither can we. One thing’s for sure, corduroy has gained its place among the most popping fashion trends this winter. Some would say that it isn’t always easy to work into your outfit, but we strongly disagree. Let us provide you with some tips on how to wear corduroy and velvet (they’re kissing cousins after all), far from gothic styles or retro cuts.

Going for black always works, because it’ll always remain a classy and chic color. However, we would advise you to leave behind the ordinary and to try some gemstone colors, for instance sapphire red, ruby green and emerald blue. How are we rocking our versatile velour this season?
(Hint: There are so many good options!)

Work it

This jumpsuit is one of our favorites for this Fall/Winter. It can bounce between tailored and relaxed in a matter of buttons. Wear it closed and couple with white sneakers for a put-together Casual Friday look, or pair with a delicate white knit and pumps, styling the jumpsuit unbuttoned and tied to cinch your waist.

Night Owl

If we could encapsulate “a night out in Paris” in one look, this would be it. Loose-fitting cuts in luxurious black and white fabrics, finished with a mid-height strappy heel? The understated chic is next level. You’d never guess from the photo, but these velvet Hawke pants can be dressed down by swapping the heels for a pair of sneakers too.

Et voilà.

On The Town

For those weekend errands or a catch-up coffee with a friend, you want something highly wearable and super stylish. Enter these oversized Vincent pants: high waist, subtle pleating, wide leg fit, and a pop of color all in one. Add a simple cashmere knit and checkered jacket on top, sneaks on bottom, and you’re ready to hit the town running.

Purely Preppy

Channel your inner Alexa Chung with this corduroy frock. The modest, rounded schoolgirl-esque collar is offset by a mid-thigh cut that shows a little leg. To go Full English with the Vento dress, pair with a long-sleeved striped knit tee and pair of posh loafers.
